Dr. Martin Mabeifam Ujkapa

Board Member

Holding a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Information Technology from the Durban University of Technology in South Africa, a Master of Information Technology degree from the Open University, Malaysia, a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the Valley View University, Ghana and a certificate in Ecology from Compass Education, UK.

Dr. M. M. Ujakpa has taught, supervised and served for Sixteen years in four different Universities in the area of Computer Science, Information Communication Technology and Information Systems at the PhD, Masters, Undergraduate, Diploma and Certificate levels and also over 6 years at the Senior High and Basic school levels (in the areas of Sciences and Mathematics). The Universities that he has worked in include University of Kwazulu-Natal (South Africa), Ghana Communication Technology University, International University of Management (Namibia), Ghana Technology University, Accra Institute of Technology and Valley View University.

On research, he has published about fifty (50) research papers in peer reviewed journals, book chapters and in conference presentations / proceedings. He has supervised about 5 PhD students, 40 Master’s degree students and 75 undergraduate students. As part of community services, he has served in over 5 senior academic positions in five different universities. Among them: Head of Department (Ghana Communication Technology University), Faculty Dean (International University of Management, Namibia), Head of Academics (Ghana Technology University College), Executive manager (in charge of academics, exams, records and systems support, Accra Institute of Technology, Ghana), E-learning Administrator and Research Assistant (Valley View University, Ghana).

He has also been involved in about 17 International projects (including consultancies with funding and international Governmental projects). He also has industrial experience as he has worked in more than 5 different non-academic institutions right from management to operational levels.
